Cheesy Baked Shrimp Alfredo Pasta
📝 Ingredients
- 300 g penne pasta
- 300 g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1½ cups heavy cream (not too much → better balance)
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- ¼ cup reserved pasta water
- Fresh parsley
👉 Optional upgrade:
- ½ cup cream cheese (for EXTRA creaminess 🔥)
👨🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Cook Pasta (Important)
- Boil in salted water until just al dente
- Reserve ¼ cup pasta water before draining
2️⃣ Perfect the Shrimp
- Season shrimp (salt, pepper, paprika)
- Cook in olive oil 1–2 min per side ONLY
- Remove immediately (don’t overcook ❌)
3️⃣ Build Flavor Base
- In same pan → butter + garlic
- Cook 30–40 sec (fragrant, not burnt)
- Add cream → gentle simmer
4️⃣ Creamy Sauce (Key Step 🔥)
- Add Parmesan gradually
- Add Italian seasoning + chili flakes
- Add splash of pasta water → silky texture
👉 Sauce should coat the spoon, not be too thick
5️⃣ Combine
- Add pasta → toss gently
- Adjust texture with pasta water if needed
6️⃣ Bake Like a Pro
- Transfer to baking dish
- Add shrimp on top (not mixed → better look & texture)
- Sprinkle mozzarella evenly
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10–15 min max
👉 Don’t overbake = keeps it creamy, not dry
7️⃣ Finish
- Garnish parsley + black pepper
- Optional: light Parmesan sprinkle

- Creamy but not heavy
