📝 Ingredients

  • 300 g penne pasta
  • 300 g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1½ cups heavy cream (not too much → better balance)
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water
  • Fresh parsley

👉 Optional upgrade:

  • ½ cup cream cheese (for EXTRA creaminess 🔥)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook Pasta (Important)

  • Boil in salted water until just al dente
  • Reserve ¼ cup pasta water before draining

2️⃣ Perfect the Shrimp

  • Season shrimp (salt, pepper, paprika)
  • Cook in olive oil 1–2 min per side ONLY
  • Remove immediately (don’t overcook ❌)

3️⃣ Build Flavor Base

  • In same pan → butter + garlic
  • Cook 30–40 sec (fragrant, not burnt)
  • Add cream → gentle simmer

4️⃣ Creamy Sauce (Key Step 🔥)

  • Add Parmesan gradually
  • Add Italian seasoning + chili flakes
  • Add splash of pasta water → silky texture

👉 Sauce should coat the spoon, not be too thick


5️⃣ Combine

  • Add pasta → toss gently
  • Adjust texture with pasta water if needed

6️⃣ Bake Like a Pro

  • Transfer to baking dish
  • Add shrimp on top (not mixed → better look & texture)
  • Sprinkle mozzarella evenly
  • Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10–15 min max

👉 Don’t overbake = keeps it creamy, not dry


7️⃣ Finish

  • Garnish parsley + black pepper
  • Optional: light Parmesan sprinkle
