Ingredients:

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (secret balance 🔥)
  • 1 tsp mustard (optional for depth 👌)

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1️⃣ Prep the Chicken

Pat chicken dry (important for caramelization 🔥).
Optional: season lightly with salt & pepper.


2️⃣ Make the Sticky Sauce

Mix:

  • Brown sugar
  • Honey
  • Soy sauce
  • Ketchup
  • Butter
  • Garlic
  • Vinegar
  • Spices

👉 Should be thick, glossy, and rich.


3️⃣ Bake – First Phase

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F)
Place chicken in a baking dish (skin side up).
Pour sauce evenly over.

Bake 35 minutes.


4️⃣ Build the Glaze (Important 🔥)

Remove from oven → spoon sauce over chicken.
Flip chicken → coat well.

Return to oven 20–25 minutes.

👉 Sauce will thicken + caramelize.
