Southern Shrimp & Beef Loaded Nachos

 

Ingredients

  • 1 large bag tortilla chips

  • 300 g ground beef

  • 400 g shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 2 cups nacho cheese sauce (queso)

  • 1 tbsp butter

Seasoning

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • Salt & black pepper to taste


Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the beef
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until fully browned.
Break it apart as it cooks. Remove and set aside.

2️⃣ Season the shrimp
Pat shrimp dry and season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

3️⃣ Cook the shrimp
In the same skillet, melt butter.
Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden. Remove.

4️⃣ Warm the cheese sauce
Heat the nacho cheese sauce until smooth and pourable.

5️⃣ Assemble the nachos
Place tortilla chips on a large tray or dish in an even layer.

6️⃣ Layer everything

  • Pour warm cheese sauce generously over the chips

  • Add cooked ground beef evenly

  • Top with shrimp all over

7️⃣ Serve immediately
Serve hot while the cheese is melted and gooey.

For extra melt and stretch, add shredded cheddar or mozzarella and bake 5 minutes before serving.
