Creamy Garlic Shrimp Spaghetti


Ingredients

  • 300 g spaghetti

  • 400 g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tbsp butter or cooking oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped (optional)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning or mixed herbs

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta
    Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente, then drain and set aside.

  2. Cook the shrimp
    Heat butter or oil in a large pan over medium heat.
    Add shrimp, season with salt and paprika, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and lightly golden.
    Remove shrimp and set aside.

  3. Make the sauce
    In the same pan, add garlic and onion.
    Sauté until fragrant and slightly soft.

  4. Add the cream
    Pour in the heavy cream.
    Add black pepper, chili flakes, and Italian seasoning.
    Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  5. Combine the pasta
    Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss until fully coated.

  6. Return the shrimp
    Add shrimp back into the pan and cook for 1–2 minutes so everything heats through.

  7. Finish and serve
    Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Tip 🔥

Add Parmesan cheese and a squeeze of lemon juice at the end for even more flavor.
