Cheesy Shrimp Nachos

 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 cups corn tortilla chips

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, chopped

  • 1½ cups white queso cheese sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter or cooking oil

Seasoning

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

Optional toppings (recommended)

  • diced jalapeños

  • chopped green onions

  • fresh cilantro


Instructions

1️⃣ Season the shrimp
Season shrimp with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

2️⃣ Cook the shrimp
Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and lightly browned. Set aside.

3️⃣ Prepare the nachos base
Arrange tortilla chips in a foil pan or oven-safe dish.

4️⃣ Add the toppings
Sprinkle chopped cooked chicken evenly over the chips.

5️⃣ Add shrimp
Place the cooked shrimp evenly on top.

6️⃣ Add the cheese sauce
Warm the queso cheese sauce until smooth and pourable.
Drizzle generously over the nachos.

7️⃣ Optional (recommended)
Broil in the oven 2–3 minutes to melt everything together.

8️⃣ Serve
Top with jalapeños, green onions, or cilantro and serve immediately.
