Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta


A rich, creamy, and comforting pasta dish made with tender shrimp, garlic, mushrooms, and Parmesan cheese. This shrimp Alfredo comes together quickly and tastes just like a restaurant meal.

📝 Ingredients

  • 250 g (9 oz) fettuccine pasta

  • 300 g (10 oz) shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1½ cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

 

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente.
Drain and set aside.


2️⃣ Sauté the Aromatics

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the chopped onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until soft.


3️⃣ Add Garlic & Mushrooms

Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms.
Cook for another 2–3 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden.


4️⃣ Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 3–4 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque.


5️⃣ Make the Alfredo Sauce

Pour in the heavy cream and stir well.
Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Let the sauce simmer for 3–4 minutes until thick and creamy.


6️⃣ Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss until the pasta is fully coated with the sauce.


7️⃣ Garnish & Serve

Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve hot.
