3 cups of all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon of sugar

1 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast

1 cup warm water

2 tablespoons of olive oil

sesame seeds (optional)

In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt and yeast.

Slowly add the warm water and olive oil and mix until the dough holds together.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 min

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and leave to rise in a warm place for an hour, or until it doubles in size.

Preheat oven 425 F (220 C).

Knead the dough and shape it into a ball. Place the dough on a greased baking tray.

Make some slits in the top of the dough with a sharp knife and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and looks hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Remove from the oven and let it cool before slicing and serving.

Note: If you do not have active dry yeast, you can use instant yeast. Just add it with flour, sugar and salt.

Enjoy !
